Faridabad: As investigations continue in the Red Fort blast case, another doctor working at Faridabad’s Al-Falah University is reportedly under scanner of investigating agencies.
According to reports, Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan, who was serving as a Senior Resident Doctor and also pursuing studies at the Al-Falah Medical College, has come under the National Investigation Agency (NIA)’s radar, Times Now reported.
Dr Nisar reportedly went missing following the Delhi Red Fort car blast, the news portal reported.
In response to the developments, Al-Falah University issued an official statement on Wednesday, expressing anguish over the situation while firmly distancing itself from any alleged involvement.
“We have learnt that two of our doctors have been detained by the investigating agencies. The University has no connection with the said persons apart from them being working in their official capacities,” said Prof. (Dr.) Bhupinder Kaur Anand, Vice Chancellor of Al-Falah University, Dhauj, Faridabad.
The Vice Chancellor said the university is fully cooperating with the authorities and reiterated its commitment to national security, peace, and unity.
The statement also categorically denied allegations circulating on social media that the university’s laboratories were being used for any unauthorized or illegal activities.
“No such chemical or material, as is being alleged by certain platforms, is being used, stored, or handled within the University premises. All laboratory activities adhere strictly to established safety protocols and statutory norms,” the statement clarified.
Established in 2014, Al-Falah University runs various academic and professional courses, including its medical college, which began MBBS training in 2019 and postgraduate medical programs (MD/MS) in 2023. The institution is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Concluding the statement, the university urged media outlets and individuals to verify facts through official channels before circulating any information related to the institution.
