Iran launches regional retaliation after strikes, reports of attacks across Gulf cities

Iran responded to the attacks by launching strikes across the Middle East, with reports of incidents in several cities hosting American military installations or allied infrastructure.

Apparent Iranian attacks were reported in Dubai, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait, signalling a widening confrontation beyond Iranian territory and raising fears of a broader regional conflict.

The escalation followed joint military action by the United States and Israel, which targeted Iranian military and strategic sites earlier in the day. Iranian officials described their retaliation as a necessary response to what they called coordinated aggression.

Airspace restrictions were introduced across parts of the region as governments moved to secure critical facilities and monitor potential further attacks. Security analysts were quoted as saying that the targeting pattern suggests Tehran is attempting to demonstrate reach without immediately escalating into full-scale war.

The exchange marks one of the most direct confrontations between the adversaries, shifting the conflict from contained strikes into a multi-country security crisis with implications for global energy routes and military deployments.
