Shopian: A military operation against militants has started in Kilbal village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, officials said.
An official said that a joint team of Police, 34RR, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between armed forces and militants.
