Begged Mufti not to align with BJP: Karra

‘My pleas ignored for sharing loaves of power’

Ganderbal: Senior Congress leader Tariq Hameed Karra said that his begged former CM Mufti Sayeed for a year not to shake hands with the Bartiya Janata Party.

The former PDP MP said that his pleas were ignored due to lust of power.

“My pleas of BJP perpetrating mayhem with Muslims in Gujarat were ignored for sharing the loaves of power. Mufti Mohammed Sayeed facilitated the entry of BJP into Kashmir and the RSS cadre is feeling elated over their success in making the Valley target of their venom, “Karra said while addressing a joint election rally with NC President Farooq Abdullah in Ganderbal.

He added that people will have to give a strong mandate to Abdullah in Srinagar and G A Mir in Anantnag so that a resistance is formed against the RSS.

Also present was the MLA Kangan Mian Altaf who said that the PDP exploited people in the name of Pakistan, Islam, Mujahids and Jammat-e-Islami. “They sold dreams about solving Kashmir once they came into power. Instead of that we all saw what kind of oppression they unleashed upon people in 2016, “Altaf said.

He also mentioned that the government should tell the people what happened to the Rs.80, 000 crore package promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The rally was also addressed by NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Congress MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga and MLA Sheikh Ashfaq Jabbar.
