Malik, others released from central jail on bail

JKLF condemns ‘direct firing’ on common people at Pulwama, pays tributes to ‘martyrs’

Srinagar: Incarcerated jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and other activists including Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Azeem Zargar, Basharat Ahmad Butt, Nazir Ahmad Pulwama, Meraj ud din Soitaing and Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah were released on bail on Saturday.

“Police at the behest of so-called rulers had arrested JKLF chairman and others to prevent them from holding protest against ugly attacks on Kashmiri women. Today on court orders, after almost 9 days of incarceration authorities released Yasin sahib and others from central jail Srinagar,” read a statement of JKLF.

Meanwhile JKLF has strongly condemned the ‘direct firing’ on common people at Liter Pulwama in which one innocent civilian Gulzar Ahmad Mir was killed while as many others have sustained grave injuries.

They also paid rich tributes to innocents who ’embraced martyrdom’ at Liter today.

A JKLF delegation comprising of district president Gazi Javed, Muhammad Ayub Naikoo and Tariq Ahmad visited the families of these ‘martyrs’ and participated in their funeral prayers and burial.

While terming the firing, destruction and loot of properties by forces as act of state terrorism, JKLF leaders said that firing to kill and maim has become a habit of trigger happy Indian forces which is highly condemnable.

While paying rich tributes to Liter ‘martyrs’ Wasim Ahmad, Naseer Mir and Gulzar Ahmad, JKLF leaders said that innocent youth after being pushed to the wall are spilling their blood for a just cause and this nation is indebted to these young ‘martyrs’.

JKLF leaders expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
