Ganderbal: Amid unending braid chopping incidents, yet another braid chopper managed to enter a household of a shopkeeper in Ganderbal District at around 8:30 pm on Monday.
According to the locals, the victim, wife of a trader, was sprayed with some foul smelling chemical which made her unconscious following which her braid was chopped.
Following the incident, local imam of the Masjid announced that a shutdown should be observed against the incident on Tuesday.
All the business establishments are closed in Ganderbal in solidarity with the victim who happens to be the wife of the trader.
SHO Ganderbal, while speaking to Free Press Kashmir, confirmed the incident and said that an FIR has been lodged against the same.
More than 100 braid chopping incidents have been reported so far across the valley. The Chief Minister recently broke her silence and called it an attempt to create mass hysteria.
Police so far has been clueless as they have not been able to catch a single offender. On Tuesday the IGP said that they have started scientific investigations which might lead them to a clue.
The cops however maintained that the victims have been cooperating with them and in cases have accused them of shielding the criminals.
The Opposition and the Resistance leaders have been castigating the government on a daily basis.
