New Delhi: The newly appointed interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma on Tuesday said that he is ready for a dialogue with everyone.

Government of India appointed the former Intelligence Bureau director as a interlocutor for a sustained dialogue process with all ‘stakeholders’ in Kashmir Valley.

Sharma told CNS that he is arriving in Kashmir Valley next week and hopefully will get a positive response from the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“I will be in Kashmir next week. I am hopeful. I will meet everyone and even Hurriyat leaders. My doors are open to everyone,” he said.

Responding to a question, Sharma said that he will interact with everyone. “Let us hope for the best. I am hopeful I will deliver,” he said.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh recently announced that the Government of India will start a sustained dialogue to solve the Kashmir issue. He added that Sharma will decide with whom he wants to hold talks.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that the centre has taken a step forward and all the ‘stakeholders’ in the valley should cash in the opportunity.
