Kashmir movement indigenous, beware of ‘Ikhwan type’ outfits: Salahuddin

Srinagar: Kashmir’s freedom movement is ingenious and has no ‘global agenda’. This was stated by the United Jihad Council Chief Syed Salahuddin at a high-level meeting in Muzaffarbad.

He also cautioned the people of Kashmir to be ware of the ‘Ikhwan type’ outfits created by the Indian agencies with an aim to create a wedge between the population.

“This struggle has no international agenda,” he said.

Salahuddin said that many army generals who thought that the freedom struggle in Jammu and Kashmir would be crushed were proved wrong by the people of the state.

Paying tributes to militants killed in Tral, Hajin and Magam, the Hizb chief said these “sacrifices will not go in vain”.

“The people of Jammu and Kashmir will reach their goal because of this precious blood and sacrifices,” he said in the statement.
