Court refuses to pass order on PIL against Abdullah for his PaK remarks

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court refused to pass order on a PIL which sought action against the President of the National Conference Farooq Abdullah.

Abdullah has recently said that Pakistan Administered Kashmir belongs to Pakistan and cannot be taken back by war. He had added that Indian Administered Kashmir belongs to India.

A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shankar directed the petitioner to approach the appropriate ministry concerned, which will decide the issue on merits.

The court was hearing a plea filed by Delhi-based Maulana Ansar Raza, who claims to be a social activist, seeking “immediate investigation” and “arrest” of Abdullah, who is also the Member of Parliament from Srinagar alleging that he has favoured Pakistan and insulted India.
