Shops remain shut in Pulwama and Budgam as protest against killings

All the shops and business establishments remained shut in Pulwama town while youths clashes with deployed forces at a couple of places including Muran Chowk, Rajpora, Shadimarag, and Drabgam.

Parts of South and Central Kashmir areas observed a shutdown on Thursday against the killing of four Jaish militants.

Reports said all the shops and business establishments remained shut in Pulwama town while youths clashes with deployed forces at a couple of places including Muran Chowk, Rajpora, Shadimarag, and Drabgam.

Four Jaish militants were killed in an encounter with Government Forces at Futlipora Pakharpora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.

Reports said that shortly after the encounter, large number of youth hit to roads at Drabgam, Muran Chowk, Shadimarag, and Rajpora and clashed with government forces.

Reports added that youth also attacked police station Pulwama with stones.

Clashes also erupted in Pakharpora resulting in the injuries of 8 civilians.
