Extends gratitude to Sonia’s leadership
Srinagar: Former chief minister and National Conference’s working president, Omar Abdullah on Monday congratulated Rahul Gandhi for being elected as the president of All India Congress Committee (AICC).
Omar also extended gratitude to AICC’s former president, Sonai Gandhi for her leadership.
Omar said that the Sonai was and remains a source of strength and inspiration to parties that have forged a common platform to keep alive the ideals on which India was founded.
In a series of tweets, Omar also said that he and his party will look forward to her continued guidance and support in the years ahead.
“Congratulations Rahul,” Omar tweeted.
“As Mrs Sonia Gandhi prepares to stand down as President of @INCIndia my personal & profound gratitude for her leadership,” Omar wrote on Twitter.
“She was & remains a source of strength & inspiration to parties that have forged a common platform to keep alive the ideals on which India was founded,” he said in his another tweet.
“I & my party, as do others I’m sure, look forward to her continued guidance & support in the years ahead,” NC working president added in his next tweet.
