Restrictions in Anantnag, Srinagar areas on Friday, to thwart JRL’s Public Jalsa

‘JRL had called for ‘Public Jalsa’ at Anantnag’

Decision taken as precautionary measure, says police 

Srinagar: In view of the ‘Public Jalsa’ call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on December 15, the Anantnag police on Thursday decided to impose restrictions in the district as precautionary measure.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Altaf Khan said that in view of the JRL’s call, the restrictions will be imposed across the district to thwart any possible protest. He informed that the restrictions will be imposed as precautionary measure.

Srinagar administration too has decided to impose restrictions in six police station areas tomorrow, on Friday.

The areas where restrictions will be imposed include Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, MR Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud partially.
