Pertinently, the Valley including Gulmarg ski-resort received early snowfall this year, bringing joy among the tourism players in Kashmir.
General Secretary of Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK), Farooq Ahmad Kuthoo said, “all the groups affiliated have started promoting winter tourism and with the early snowfall this season, we are expecting a good winter season this year.”
He also said that they have started receiving the inquiries from the domestic market. “We hope in the coming days we will get the inquiries from the foreign market as well,” he said.
Earlier, the chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet had hoped the tourists would enjoy the ‘warmth of Kashmiriyat’.
“This year come celebrate in Jammu & Kashmir as the valley receives its first snowfall & enjoy the warmth of what we call Kashmiriyat. @JandKTourism @alphonstourism,” she wrote on twitter.
