Govt insensitive towards problems of masses, says GH Mir

‘Afsar Shahi is at peak’

Pattan: In his continuous effort to reach out the people in rural areas and to listen them in these hard and crucial days, Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) Chief and former agriculture minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir Monday said that the present Government has failed on every front and is quite insensitive towards the problems of the masses.

Mir was addressing one day workers convention at Yall, Pattan.

“The people are suffering on account of essential supplies especially the power supply,” Mir said, adding that every here and there the people complain that the power schedule is on papers only and its adherence is nowhere.

On employment front, Mir said, that the Government has failed to keep its promises made with the youth of J&K who have suffered immensely.

With regard to SRO-520, Mir said, “The wages for the persons who have rendered less than 10 years of service have not been secured.”
Mir said the government has failed to reign in the bureaucracy and as a result the “Afsar Shahi” is at its peak.

“The government has failed to strengthen the democratic institutions as the Panchayats and Municipalities have turned as fiefdoms of ruling party,” Mir said, adding that it is because of this reason that the government is not interested in empowering the people on ground.
Emphasized on the people to strengthen DPN, Mir said, the end of vows of common people lies in the success of DPN.

Besides others the gathering was also addressed by General Secretary Nazir Dailgami , Farooq Ahmed Dar, Ab Karim Dar, Asadullah Bhat and youth leader Tajamul Ishfaq.
