A 45-year-old police constable on deputation with Sales Tax department Gautam Budh Nagar allegedly raped a 7-year old girl in presence of her younger brother after luring her with a ten rupee note on Wednesday evening.
According to a report in the Times of India, the accused Subhash Singh assaulted the girl for half an hour and fled from the spot as people started gathering due to rescue cry. The accused believed the matter would have resolved and returned to his one-room set rented accommodation on Thursday morning.
The victims’ family members and local residents disturbed over the brutal assault, lost cool, and roughed up the constable with shoes and sandals and handed over to police.
