Government in talks with Himachal Pradesh for details to regularise aggrieved workers

Srinagar: In a bid to tackle the crises emerging out of the constant strike by National Health Mission employees, the Jammu and Kashmir government has begun the process of obtaining details of regularisation policy of Himachal Pradesh to regularise the aggrieved NHM Employees.

The state’s health department has begun the process of creating a policy on the analogy of Himachal Pradesh’s regularisation policy of NHM employees and is examining the same.

In the legislative assembly, the government has stated that the report in which the demands of the NHM employees have been examined, has been sent to the finance department for consideration. However, the finance department is yet to provide its comments over the issue.

The state government last year also constituted a four members committee vide Govt. Order No 151-HME of 2017, dated 15-03-2017 to examine the demands of the contractual employees hired under NHM. The committee however is yet to make its findings public.

Furthermore, the state government has stated in the assembly that the NHM employees aren’t governed by the state government rules but as per the norms of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
