Jammu: The members of the Bhartiya Janta Party demanded that criminal proceedings should be initiated against National Conference leader Muhammad Akbar Lone after he raised pro Pakistan slogans in the state’s legislative Assembly.
As soon as the proceedings of the house began, BJP members demanded action against Lone for raising ‘anti-national’ slogans.
“The member has made mockery of the House. You should initiate criminal proceedings against him,” demanded BJP legislator R S Pathania.
Lone had raised ‘Pakistan Zindabaad’ (Long live Pakistan) slogans in the Assembly ‘in reaction’ to the anti-Pakistan slogans raised by the members of the BJP in the aftermath of the Sunjawan Army cam attack.
Lone had said that his ‘sentiments’ were hurt as he is a ‘Muslim first’.
On Sunday, a Hindu right wing group calling itself the Anti-Terrorist Front of India, announced 25 Lakhs for anyone who brought them the severed head of NC leader Akbar Lone.
