Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman of the Hurriyat (M) on Friday said that the mass rapes which took place in Kunan and Poshpora villages 27 years ago is the most reprehensible crime against humanity.
Mirwaiz, on the 27th anniversary of the incident, Mirwaiz wrote on twitter:
it has been 27 years when in #KunanPoshpura the most reprehensible crime against humanity,mass rape,was used as a war weapon by the Indian soldiers against the women and girls in both the villages in order to punish & intimidate people for demanding their political right… pic.twitter.com/9foIiL3lFg
