Face of Kashmir’s pellet victims, Insha Mushtaq gets admitted to DPS

Srinagar: Insha Mushtaq, the teenage girl who was blinded after she was shot at with pellets by government forces and eventually became the face of the 2016 uprising, has got admission in the Delhi Public School, Srinagar.

Insha recently passed her 10 class examinations.

Donning the uniform of the school, the picture of Insha has gone viral on social media.

She was grievously injured and blinded on of 12th July 2016 at her residence in Sedow, Shopian, when a patrol party of government forces fired pellets at the window of her house where she was standing.

Insha was blinded in both her eyes, apart from facing a long ordeal of recovery from brain hemorrhages and skull fractures.
