Recently, the police had said that Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz and Yasin Malik are ‘free’ to carry on with their political activities however they are not allowed to make ‘anti-national’ speeches or create law and order problems. However, within a week, in wake of the Shopian killings, the Joint Resistance Leadership was caged. Mirwaiz and Geealni were put under house arrest and Malik was sent to the Central Jail, Srinagar.
