Srinagar: In a series of tweets, National Conference Working president Omar Abdullah lashed out at the Hurriyat leaders for their ‘silence’ over the killing of 25-year old Manzoor Ahmad Bhat of Hajin.
Bhat’s headless body was found on Friday in an orchid. He was abducted by gunmen on Thursday. Police have blamed militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba for the abductions in Hajin area of Bandipora.
Any shut down call or call for “peaceful protests” for Manzoor Ahmed who’s decapitated body was found in North Kashmir after he’d been abducted & killed by militants? No? I’m not surprised.

In another tweet, the former chief minister took a dig at at Pakistan which is observing ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ against the recent killings in Shopian.
What happens to “Kashmir Solidarity” and wanna be Imran Khans when people like Manzoor are inhumanly butchered? It’s so easy to flow with the tide, much tougher to swim against it.

Omar also said that the term ‘unknown gunmen’ is a convenient cover for those who don’t want to criticise terrorism. The “unknown gunmen” are conveniently termed to give cover to those who don’t want to/cant criticise terrorist crimes.
