Srinagar: National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah on Friday while ‘saluting the honesty’ of Tourism Minister Tasaduq Mufti said that ‘there are very few instances in politics to make honest statements.’
Tasaduq had told the Indian Express that PDP and BJP have ‘ended up being partners in a crime (for which) an entire generation of Kashmiris might have to pay with their blood”.
Tasaduq told the newspaper that the view is not his personal but is the ‘overwhelming sentiment’ within the PDP.
“He has not much experience of politics. He is only a few months old minister. I would not say his remarks came late. I salute his honesty… very few instances come in politics to see this kind of honesty and sincerity,” Omar asserted.
