A 14 year old boy identified as Shahid Ahmad was killed in clashes which erupted near the gunfight site with armed forces in Draubgam village of Pulwama on Monday.
15 civilians have been injured in clashes and five of them were reffered to Srinagar.
They said that Ahmad was rushed to district hospital where he succumbed. Two army men, including a major, have also been injured in the gunfight.
Massive clashes erupted after youth took to streets to help the besieged militants escape from the gunfight site.
The forces responded by firing live ammunition, pellets and tear gas to chase away the stone-throwing protesters.
Fifteen civilians were injured in clashes. Five of them were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
