On Joint Resistance program, JK Liberation Front stages peaceful protest against killings in Kashmir

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Friday staged a protest in Srinagar against the “horrible rise in innocent civilian killings” in Kashmir.

Scores of JKLF leaders and activists gathered at Madeena Chowk and marched towards Lal Chowk to protest the killings. Joint Resistance Leadership of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for the protest.

The protesters later staged a peaceful protest sit-in near Budshah Chowk.

While condemning killings in Kashmir, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said that horrible rise in innocent killings is actually a manipulation of frustration that rulers, their Kashmiri stooges and armed forces are suffering from. He said that indiscriminate firings and showering of pellets which is resulting in the killing of our unarmed innocents and blinding of young boys and girls.

He said pro-India politicians who scream together on some ugly incident are seen silent on this continued massacre and mass blinding which speaks volumes about their hierocracy.

He said that on ongoing killings, maiming, mass blinding, blasting and burning down of properties, incarcerating thousands under black laws like PSA, humiliating and beating Kashmiri youth on roads and by using these harsh measures have failed to contain or defeat Kashmiri resistance and struggle for freedom which is legal and based on genuineness and truth.
