Srinagar: Umbrella of militant outfits United Jehad Council on Thursday claimed that Indian agents and police personnel in the garb of ISIS are trying to create environment for Civil War in Kashmir.

Spokesperson United Jehad Council Syed Sadakat Hussain in a statement said that these elements got exposed during the funeral of Professor Muhammad Rafi Bhat. “Eyewitnesses say that those holding ISIS flags during the funeral procession were government agents. Similarly, the stone-pelter who killed an Indian tourist at Tangmarg was protected by policemen,” he said.

He said that such tactics are being adopted to defame the ongoing freedom struggle. “Freedom loving people of Kashmir are aware about ground reality and they understand every Indian plot,” he said adding that the Sun of Freedom will rise one day in Kashmir.

UJC has called a special meeting to discuss the Ceasefire declaration made by Government of India in Kashmir for the month of Ramazan.

Well placed sources informed news agency CNS that unlike Lashkar-e-Taiba, that out-rightly rejected the ceasefire offer and termed the move as drama, the United Jehad Council led by Syed Salahuddin has decided to think over it and take a final call only after the high command council meeting.

Insiders said that meeting is expected in one or two days that will be attended by the representatives of all militant outfits’ part of United Jehad Council. “With regard to Ceasefire, UJC may adopt the same line as has been followed by LeT, but still it wants to discuss the issue threadbare. The present situation will also be discussed in the meeting,” they said.
