JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik addressing a gathering said it was ironical to see Kashmiri prisoners lodged in Central Jail Srinagar shifted to various prisons outside the Valley and termed the move as highly autocratic and condemnable by all means. The Leadership said that the move to shift Kashmiri prisoners is a political vendetta aimed at adding more to the worries of the family members of inmates.

Yasin Malik also condemned the use of force at Jamia Masjid Srinagar on Friday. The clashes between the protesters and police after Friday congregational prayers at historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, left over thirty youth injured.
