The armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been put on high alert as the security gird is apprehending a spike in the militant attacks, especially in the valley, reported the Pres Trust of India.
The forces have been asked to remain on a high alert and maintain vigil around sensitive security installations across the state in view of reports of fresh infiltration of militants in the Valley, the officials said.
On Friday, militants attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle in Pulwama district. There was no report of any casualties on either side. The forces claimed to have recovered three bags believed to be stuffed with improvised explosive devices or IEDs.
