Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government Tuesday ordered that Muneer Ahmed Khan, ADGP Home Guards, and Security, shall also function as ADGP (Law & Order) in addition to his own duties.
According to an order, in respect of law and order matters, the two Zonal IGPs of Kashmir and Jammu shall report to ADGP (Law & Order) under the overall command and control of DGP, J&K.
In February, the Jammu & Kashmir cabinet had ordered a big reshuffle in the police department replacing Muneer Khan with Swayam Prakash Pani as the Inspector General (IG) of Police, Kashmir range.
