SPO who went missing from Pampore with service rifle joins Hizbul Mujahideen

The Special Police Officer identified as Irfan Ahmad Dar who had gone missing from the Pampore police station with his service rifle, has joined the Hizbul Mujhahideen, the militant outfit has said in a statement.

Quoting the operational spokesman of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Burhan-u-Din, KNS news agency said: “SPO Irfan Ahmad Dar, a resident of Nehama Kakapora of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, who fled with the rifle has joined Hizb-ul-Mujahideen.”

The spokesman, while quoting Bin Qasim, appealed the cadres of Jammu and Kashmir Police to give up their jobs and “join Hizb-ul-Mujahideen to give a push to the resistance struggle.”

Earlier, the cops had said that Dar left the police station after he suffered from some illness. The SPO, is a resident of Kakapora, Pulwama.
The police had also launched a manhunt to track down the missing cop.
