SRINAGAR: Barely 12 hours after his abduction, constable Javaid Ahmad Dar’s body was recovered by police in wee hours of Friday in neighbouring Kulgam district.
Posted as the personal security officer to Senior Superintendent of Police Shailendra Mishra, Dar was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from his home at Vehil, Shopian last night and was taken to an unknown destination, a police official said.
Shot in the head, the cop was found dead by the roadside at Sehpora, Kulgam, the official said.
