NIA shifts Asiya Andrabi to Delhi

Srinagar: Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief, Asiya Andrabi along with her two associates was shifted to New Delhi by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday, IANS reported.

Reports said they were taken from Women’s Central Jail to the Srinagar International Airport by NIA officers for being shifted to Delhi.

“This would be in cognizance to them being presented in the Patiala House Court, in connection with a sedition case filed against them by the agency,” the reports said, adding NIA will seek the custody of the three for further interrogation.

Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Police had registered a case against Andrabi for raising “anti-national” slogans while observing ‘Pakistan Day’ in Srinagar.
