On Friday, against Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief, Asiya Andrabi shift to Delhi, JRL had called for Kashmir shutdown.

Andrabi who was lodged in Srinagar Central Jail in an alleged sedition case was flown from Srinagar Airport to Delhi where a special court sent her to 10-days National Investigation Agency (NIA) remand.

Ahead of JRL’s shutdown call, armed forces were seen pushing back vehicles moving towards Old CIty’s Nowhatta area on Saturday morning. At number of places, drop gates and rings of concentrina wires were placed to seal the area.

Notably, tomorrow is the second death anniversary of popular commander, Burhan Wani. Along with his two associates, Wani was killed in Bamdoora area of Kokernag on July 8, 2016. His killing brought the entire Kashmir to a standstill.
