Prominent face of Pakistan’s Kashmiri community and senior pro-freedom leader Syed Javed Ali Shah Hamdani passed away in Rawalpindi on Monday.
The 82 year old died after prolonged illness at the Holy Family Hospital, the family informed. Syed Javed will be laid to rest at Shah Qaf cemetery, New Katarian Rawalpindi and the funeral prayers will be held there at 2 PM on Tuesday, they said.
A noted philanthropist, Syed Javed worked tirelessly for the Kashmir cause and his house was an abode for Kashmiri refugees and activists for years.
