The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday opened the Natipora-limb flyover for public transport, starting from Rambagh to Natipora crossing.
The work on the flyover had started in 2013 with an estimated cost of Rs 369 crore. The then chief minister Omar Abdullah had laid the foundation of the flyover.
The project is being executed by the Jammu and Kashmir Economic Reconstruction Agency (JKERA). Simplex Limited is the project contractor. The construction work on the flyover was badly hit due to floods in 2014 and an uprising triggered by killing of militant commander Burhan Wani in 2016.
