Slain Sameer Tiger’s family alleges that armed forces tried to set their house ablaze

Srinagar: Family of slain Hizb commander Sameer Tiger has alleged that armed forces tried to set their house ablaze.

The slain commander’s father, Muhammad Maqbool said that armed forces torched a shack in which hundreds of empty apple boxes and cattle fodder were stored.

After doing that, Maqbool alleged that the forces tried to set their residential house at Drabgam village on fire.

“Around 2:45, we heard some persons (forces) knocking our door. I didn’t let any family member to go out because of the apprehension that forces outside may shoot. In the mean time they threw petrol on our front door and set it on fire and set ablaze the shed besides our house, “he said.

Bhat added that they have retrieved petrol bottles, bandage and masks allegedly used by forces to torch his house.
