KCCI announces poll results, United 21’s Sheikh Ashiq elected President

Srinagar: The Kashmir Chambers and Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Saturday announced the results of the votes polled recently to elect its executive committee members.

Results have shown that 12 elected members belong to the ‘United 21’ group, and nine belong to the ‘Credible 21’.

Ashiq Sheik has emerged as the President of the committee, followed by Nasir H Khan as senior Vice President.

Dr. Mir as been elected as the junior Vice-President, Farooq Amin as the General Secretary, Gowher Sheikh as the Joint Secretary and Mr. Manzoor as the Treasurer.

The result was announced in the 84th Annual General Meeting of the Chamber at the SKICC, Srinagar.

KCCI had concluded its counting of votes to elect its executive committee members on September 24. A total 1082 votes were polled.

Abdul Wahid, president of Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Owners Federation, led the list of winners, followed by Javid Tenga, Sheikh Ashiq and Farooq Amin.
