Srinagar: The Joint Resistance Leadership has said that they appreciate and commend the people of Kashmir for the comprehensive boycott of the Municipal election.
In a tweet Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Chairman of Hurriyat (M) said that the people have send a clear message to the Indian state.

In the last phase of the Municipal election, Kashmir witnessed 4.2 percent polling. According to official figures, released by the chief election officer, the total votes polled during the phase-IV were 9656 of which 5425 were males and 4231 were females.
