No talks with Hurriyat till the time they don’t keep Pakistan out, says Governor Malik

Srinagar: Till Hurriyat doesn’t keep Pakistan out , no talks can be held with them, Governor Satya Pal Malik said at the sidelines of an event at SKICC, Srinagar.

“I recently met representatives from various parties. I met Omar Sahab, Mehboobaji, Tarigami sahab. As far as Hurriyat is concerned, they don’t even go to the toilet without asking Pakistan, so till the time they don’t keep Pakistan separate, no talks will be held with them,” he said.

Speaking on civilian killings in Kulgam, Malik requested the people to stay away from the gunfight sites until they are sanitised by the armed forces.

Seven civilians were killed in Laroo village of Kulgam in a blast at the site of a gunfight on Sunday.

Recently, Home Minister of India Rajnath Singh at the end of his one day visit to Srinagar said that talks are not one way root to peace and for peace Pakistan will have to create a conducive atmosphere for talks.

Addressing a press conference before his departure to Delhi Rajnath Singh during a press conference in Srinagar claimed that Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi went to Pakistan to meet his Pakistani counterpart and his family to establish good neighbourly relations with that country but Pakistan didn’t contemplate any step for creating a conducive atmosphere for talks to resolve issues including Kashmir and establish peace in the region.
