Srinagar: Chairman of the Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged the United Nations to send a fact finding team to Kashmir to assess the ground situation and urge upon the Government of India to stop the human rights violations ‘committed by its forces in the valley.’

Soon after the congregational prayers concluded, the Mirwaiz led a protest against the “rising graph” of rights violations in Kashmir outside Jamia Masjid Srinagar.![]()
