Srinagar: Timber smugglers attacked and injured five guards of the forest department after they raided them in the Cherhar forest area of Baramulla district of the valley.
Reports said the forest guards were attacked with sharp edged weapons yesterday after they raided them.
The injured have been identified as Farooz Ahmad, Irshad Ahmad, Shahzad Ahmad, Abdul Kareem and Tahir Ahmad.
