Pulwama Civilian Killings: It is a veiled operation to wipe out an entire generation of youth in Kashmir, says PDP

Anantnag: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Spokesperson Rafi Ahmad Mir while condemning the killing of civilians in Pulwama said that it is a veiled operation to wipe out an entire generation of youth in Kashmir and to end the hope for peace.

While terming the Pulwama killings as orchestrated massacre, Mir said that human rights abuses at such a large scale in broad daylight cannot be given the name of law and order.

He said that New Delhi discredited the mainstream regional parties who talked about reconciliation and peace and when they have taken over the state affairs, the forces are let loose on innocent civilians. Mir said New Delhi wants to run the 2019 elections after soaking people of Valley in blood.

“There are no words to condemn this tragedy, it’s shameful that our collective efforts to gain trust are spilled by an unresponsive and unaccountable government, where the Governor is busy in his personal PR campaign and not concerned about the safety of people,” he said.

Mir further said that recording low incidents of stone pelting and selling them across the nation to show normalcy is refusing to reckon with the reality, the future and life of our youth is put on stake by New Delhi’s iron fist policy. He said that talks alone can address the anger in people and if the government still refuses to hold a dialogue then it’s a never ending war only adding to the loss endured.
