Britishers helped India gain independence in 1857 from Islamic invaders and terrorists: Hindu Sena

A Hindu right wing organization, Hindu Sena, celebrated Queen Victoria’s death anniversary and said that she ‘rid India of Islamic Invaders and terrorists.’

The outfit on Tuesday organised an event at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to celebrate the Queen’s anniversary, reported India Today.

It is the same outfit that celebrated Donald Trump’s birthday with a 7 kg cake in 2017.

In its invite that is circulating on social media, Hindu Sena also declared the 1857 as the year in which India gained independence in the truest sense.

“Britishers under the dynamic leadership of Empress Victoria brought hundreds of princely states under one umbrella and became one country under one law.”

The last of the Mughals, Bahadur Shah Zafar was still ruling as a nominal head of the dynasty in the 1850s when the British put an end to the regime and banished him to Rangoon, where he died.

Praising the British rulers for their role in ending the Mughal era, Hindu Sena has further compiled a list of all that the Queen contributed towards building the nation.

The Sena has said in its invite, “Indian Parliament, law, judiciary, Indian Army, Administrative Services, Railways, Postal Services are some of the contributions of the Britishers for which we should be thankful for them (sic).”
