Pulwama blast: At least 24 students injured, cops say all stable

Srinagar: At least 24 students sustained injuries on Wednesday after a mysterious blast took place inside the class room of the 10th standard of a private school (tuition centre) known as Falai-e-Millat at Narbal in village of Pulwama district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, Chandan Kohli said that a mysterious blast occurred at around 02:00 pm inside the class room of a private educational institute in Narbal, thus causing injuries to at least 24 students.

Soon after the incident took place, police officers reached the spot and were ascertaining the nature and circumstances of the blast.

Kohli further divulged that a dozen among the injured who received grievous injuries have been shifted to Srinagar’s hospital for specialized treatment while rest of the students are undergoing treatment at different medical facilities in Pulwama district.

He added that an FIR has been registered in this regard at Police Station Kakapora while as the investigation has also been started.

“Any clue in this regard will be shared accordingly,” he said, adding that all the injured students are stable.
