One of the killed militant identified as JeM commander Mudasir Khan of Tral, body handed over to family

Srinagar: One of the militants killed in the Tral gunfight has been identified by has family as Mudasir Khan, who was a commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The body of Khan was handed over to the family and was taken in a huge procession to his native village Midoora in Tral.

Reports said that thousands of people including vehicles and motorbikes were part of the procession.

Police said that two militants were killed in the Sunday gunfight with forces in Pinglish village in Pulwama district.

“The second militant also belongs to the JeM, however, his identity is yet to be ascertained,” the officer added. “DNA tests will be carried out as the bodies have been charred.”

The army meanwhile said three militants were killed. The police has so far, though, recovered only two bodies.
