Kishtwar: Police arrests 10 in connection with RSS leader’s killing, curfew continues

Following the killing of an RSS leader in Kishtwar, curfew contunied in the area for the second consecutive day while the army carried a flag march. Internet services also remained barred.

The Jammu and Kashmir police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and arrested 10 suspects in the case.

Official sources said that a five-member SIT has been constituted, headed by DSP Headquarter Kishtwar, to probe the incident.

RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma was killed inside the premises of District Hospital Kishtwar where he was working as a medical assistant at hospital’s out-patient (OPD) department. His PSO Rajinder Kumar was also killed while his service rifle was taken by the gunmen.
