Earlier, Omar Abdullah had said that the post of Sadar-e-Riyasat (President) and Wazir-e-Azam (Prime Minister) will be brought back to Jammu and Kashmir.

During a rally in Bandipora Omar had said, “other states joined the Union of India without any conditions. However Jammu and Kashmir acceded with certain conditions. Those included our own identity, own constitution. At that time we had our own ‘Sadar-e-Riyasat’ and ‘Wazir-e-Azam’. Inshallah, we will bring that back too.

Omar Abdullah had also said that if his party comes to power, within days the Public Safety Act will go.

Addressing a rally in Bandipora, Omar had said, “in our tenure from 2009-14, we attempted to bring some relaxation in PSA Act. We had removed the toughest parts from it but still today it is being highly misused.”
