There is Jungle Raj in Kashmir, says Mehbooba after SDM assaulted by Army, highway ban

PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti while reacting over the highway ban and the beating up of an SDM by the Army, has said that ‘Jungle Raj’ is prevailing in Kashmir nowadays.

The former Chief Minister during an election meet in Anantnag said, “No law exists in Kashmir. The thrashing of SDM along with his employees, highway has been closed, inmates are beaten in the jails, bodies recovered during the encounters are being mutilated and are burnt by chemicals.”

Mehbooba said it doesn’t seem that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have acceded to the country which Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and Maharaja Hari Singh had chosen. “The country we had acceded to was equal for all Sikhs, Muslims and Hindus,” Mehbooba said.

While condemning the higghway ban, Mehbooba called it ‘dictatorship’.

Earlier, in a tweet, while reacting over the incident of Army men beating up the SDM of Dooru, she had said  ‘is this what we (Kashmiris) deserve for choosing India over Pakistan’?
