Veteran politician Shatrughan Sinha, who recently left the BJP and joined Congress has said that from Mahatma Gandhi to Sardar Patel to Mohammad Ali Jinnah, all had a role in India’s independence and development.

While addressing a public rally at Sausar in Madhya Pradesh’s Chindwara on Friday, Shatrughan Sinha said, “From Sardar Patel to Nehru, from Mahatma Gandhi to Jinnah, from Indira Gandhi to Rahul Gandhi, all have had a role to play in nation’s independence and development. That is why I joined Congress party”.

The Patna Sahib MP also took a dig at Narendra Modi dubbing his interview with actor Akshay Kumar as one conducted after “rehearsals” and with the help of “scriptwriters”.
