‘Muslim fanatics’ threatening me for supporting Ram Temple, will commit suicide if Modi doesn’t come back to power: UP Shia Waqf board Chief

Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Waseem Rizvi has threatened to commit suicide if Narendra Modi does not come back to power again, reported the UNI.

The Shia leader triggered the controversy on Tuesday, when he announced to self-immolate himself in front of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, if Narendra Modi did not become the Prime Minister of the country again.

In a statement Rizvi said that ‘fanatic Muslims were giving him death threats for supporting Ram Temple and if Mr. Modi loses then he will have no option but to commit suicide.

Recently, Rizvi, who is not new to controversies, had said that Muslims who oppose construction of Ram Temple should join ISIS.

“Those who are secular have never been against the temple. Those who are opposing Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya and want to build Babri Mosque at the site should go to Pakistan or Bangladesh. There is no place for fundamentalist Muslims in India.”

Recently, he had written to Narendra Modi that Madarsas (Islamic seminaries) should be closed down as they ‘increase terrorism’.
