Srinagar: Describing the outraging of chastity of a 3-year -old minor girl in Sumbal as a crime against humanity, Peoples Conference general secretary Imran Reza Ansari has demanded severe punishment for the accused.
“Our heads should hang in shame over the horrific crime in the holy month of Ramadhan. When Muslims across the world are fasting, a beast in our society outraged chastity of a 3-year-old kid. We need to rise above political and religious affiliations and fight for justice for the kid.”
Ansari said the need of hour is to set up a fast track court for punishing the accused.
He also demanded action against the school for issuing fake date of birth of certificate to show that the accused was minor.
Meanwhile, a spontaneous shutdown and protests were held across the valley against the incident on Monday.
